Some students who are members of the PPK Ormawa BEM FEB UNEJ have succeeded in providing innovation, namely turning an area that was previously a wild racing arena into a river tour that has tourist attraction. It is hoped that this innovation can foster an increase in tourists and economic growth through UMKM in Sukorejo Village, Bangsalsari District.
This is also a very positive initiative, as river tourism can help students develop their businesses and increase the variety of products and services offered to visitors.
Overall, the inauguration of Sukorejo Canal Tourism on October 1, 2023, was a moment full of hope and a spirit of collaboration between the community, university, and government in efforts to develop local tourism and empower UMKM. It is hoped that this tourism spot will become a successful destination and provide significant benefits to Jember Regency and the community of Sukorejo Village.
