Students from the Accounting Department of FEB UNEJ got first place in the sharia accounting Olympiad held by Diponegoro University, Semarang. The competition is a national-level Olympiad that has been attended by around 124 participants from various universities in Indonesia. In this event, students from the Department of Accounting, Faculty of Economics and Business, UNEJ formed a team consisting of 3 people, including:
One of the participants in the sharia accounting competition held at Diponegoro University Semarang, Fahmi Firdaus, who represented the UNEJ Faculty of Economics and Business, explained that the competition was an Islamic economics competition but those who studied at FEB UNEJ in the field of accounting chose the sharia accounting theme which led to sharia banking financial institution.
Since the technical meeting on September 8, 2017, this team of accounting students has successfully entered the top 10 through a test held on September 9, 2017. The test has 3 stages, the first is abstract, the second is a full paper, and the third is a presentation, then the three stages are accumulated. No kidding, this top 10 competition involves several well-known universities in Indonesia, such as Unibra, Airlangga University, Gunadharma, and many others well-known universities.
"This is also my first experience, I have not taken sharia accounting courses yet, but we are directly guided by lecturers, alhamdulillah," said Fahmi. This is a matter of pride for the faculty, the team which is directly guided by lecturer Dr. Agung Budi Sulistiyo, S.E, M.si, Ak. and Dr. Ahmad Roziq, S.E, M.M, Ak as (Deputy Dean II) was appreciated by Dr. Muhammad Miqdad, S.E, M.M, Ak. as Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Jember.

Mahasiswa Jurusan Akuntansi FEB UNEJ berhasil mendapatkan peringkat satu di ajang olimpiade akuntansi syariah yang diadakan Universitas Diponegoro Semarang. Perlombaan tersebut merupakan olimpiade tingkat nasional yang telah di ikuti oleh sekitar 124 peserta dari berbagai universitas di Indonesia. Dalam ajang tersebut, mahasiswa Jurusan Akuntansi Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis UNEJ membentuk sebuah tim yang terdiri dari 3 orang, diantaranya ialah :
Salah satu peserta dari lomba akuntansi syariah yang diadakan di Universitas Diponegoro Semarang, Fahmi Firdaus yang mewakili Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis UNEJ menjelaskan bahwasanya lomba tersebut merupakan lomba ekonomi syariah akan tetapi mereka yang kuliah di FEB UNEJ di bidang akuntansi ini memilih tema akuntansi syariah yang menjurus pada lembaga keuangan perbankan syariah.
Sejak tecnical meeting yang diadakan mulai 8 September 2017, tim mahasiswa akuntansi ini berhasil memasuki 10 besar melalui tes yang diadakan 9 September 2017. Tes tersebut memiliki 3 tahapan, yang pertama abstrac, kedua full paper, dan yang ketiga adalah presentation yang kemudian ketiga tahapan tersebut diakumulasi. Tidak main-main, persaingan 10 besar ini melibatkan beberapa universitas ternama di Indonesia seperti, Unibra, Unair, Gunadharma dan banyak universitas ternama lainnya.
“ini juga pengalaman pertama, saya sendiri juga belum menempuh mata kuliah akuntansi syariah akan tetapi kami di bimbing langsung oleh dosen-dosen, allhamdulillah” kata Fahmi. Hal ini merupakan sebuah kebanggaan bagi pihak fakultas, tim yang dibimbing langsung oleh dosen Dr. Agung Budi Sulistiyo, S.E, M.si, Ak. dan Dr. Ahmad Roziq, S.E, M.M, Ak selaku (Wakil Dekan II) ini diapresiasi oleh Dr. Muhammad Miqdad, S.E, M.M, Ak. selaku Dekan Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Jember.
