As part of the Inspire: International Youth Leadership and Culture Immersion Program, the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Jember (FEB UNEJ) in collaboration with the Fakulti Perniagaan and Pengurusan Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (FPP UniSZA), Malaysia, organized an activity entitled Echoes of Nusantara: Youth Voices in Verse (ENIV). This event is a forum for students to express their creativity through poetry while strengthening cross-cultural relations between Indonesia and Malaysia.

Nusantara is known as a region rich in culture, tradition, and art. In the face of globalization, poetry was chosen as a medium to maintain and express these cultural values. With the theme Youth Voices in Verse, ENIV presents poetry creation and reading competitions in three languages: Indonesian, Malay, and English. Each language reflects the global openness, national identity, and cultural diversity of the archipelago.

Poetry is a tool that can voice students' aspirations, ideas, and emotions in an authentic way. Through this event, participants are not only invited to explore the richness of local culture, but also learn to understand other cultural perspectives, making this activity a place to strengthen unity in diversity.

This event aims to:
1. Develop student creativity and literacy through poetry competition.
2. Increase awareness and appreciation of Nusantara culture.
3. Open space for students to explore ideas and convey their views on cultural identity.
4. Strengthening academic and social relations between FEB UNEJ and FPP UniSZA.

Through ENIV, students are also trained to hone their communication skills, critical thinking, and cross-cultural abilities - important competencies needed in the modern era.

ENIV consists of two main stages: poetry creation competition and poetry reading competition. The event will take place on Thursday, November 28, 2024, from 12:30 to 16:00 WIB. The venue is the Ir. Soekarno Room, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Jember (FEB UNEJ).

The best poetry works will be published in the campus media of the University of Jember and Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin as a form of appreciation and a means of sharing cultural views with the wider community.

ENIV is designed as an ongoing annual program with themes that are updated every year. The publication of the participants' poems is expected to inspire the younger generation to remain proud of the archipelago's culture in the midst of global development.
